Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name and email address when you create an account, and any photo of a roomyou upload — whether or not you have an account (see Section 4, "Photos, AI-Generated Content, and Guest Try"). We also collect usage data and technical information (IP address, browser type) through our service, and payment information is collected and processed by Stripe directly — we never see or store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain the Service, generate the restyled images, panoramas, and 3D walkthroughs you request, process transactions, send service-related communications, and improve the product.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data or your photos. We share data with the third-party providers who help us operate the Service, each bound by their own privacy policy and processing your data only to provide their part of the Service:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management.
  • Stripe — payment processing and billing.
  • Neon — database hosting (account, room, and billing records).
  • Vercel — application hosting, Blob storage (your uploaded photos and 2D restyled images), the AI Gateway (routing restyle requests to an underlying AI image model), analytics, and bot detection on the free-try endpoint.
  • Cloudflare — storage for the larger 3D world files (panoramas, splats, and collider meshes) a walkthrough generates.
  • World Labs — generates the walkable 3D world from a 2D image, when you choose to step inside a room.
  • Resend — delivery of transactional email (welcome, receipts, vote notifications).

4. Photos, AI-Generated Content, and Guest Try

A photo you upload is sent to our AI image provider (via Vercel's AI Gateway) solely to generate your restyled image, and — if you choose to step inside a room — to World Labs to generate a panorama and 3D world. We strip location (GPS) and other metadata from a photo before storing it. Your photo and its results are stored at a private, unguessable URL that is not linked from anywhere on the Service and is not shown to any other visitor unless you choose to share it (for example, by creating a "which one?" poll or a before/after reveal).

Guest try. Roomersivelets a visitor restyle one photo without an account. A guest photo and its result are stored the same way as an account holder's, identified only by a random id in a cookie on your device — we do not know who you are. If you later create an account from the same device, that cookie lets us move the photo and result into your new account; if you never sign up, the cookie expires after 7 days and the underlying photo and result are treated as any other unclaimed data under our retention practices.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information, including uploaded photos and Generated Content, for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and data, including your photos, at any time by contacting us.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and secure the Service — including keeping you signed in, remembering a guest try before you have an account (Section 4), one anonymous vote per poll, and attributing a referral when someone tries a style you shared. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but some features (including the guest try) may not function correctly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, including any photo you have uploaded. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date.
